In India, marriages are nothing less of a festival. Being known worldwide for our gaieties, you can imagine how grandly we must celebrate the most auspicious day of our lives.

Yes, the spirit Indians share during the joyous occasion of weddings is commendable and is incomparable.  For most communities may it be Punjabi, Tamilian or even Bengali, a wedding is a lavish affair that sometimes gets extended to more than 3 days- filled with all sorts of rituals and ceremonies.

Somebody had rightly termed it “Big Fat Indian Wedding”!!

But today the trend is observed to change. Today, majority young crowd like to keep it short and simple.
Instead of having a feast with N-number of invitees; just the close friends and families are invited. Making it more personalized and fun.
The newest trend of the block is “destination weddings”; Thanks to movies like yeh jawani hai Deewani.

Destination weddings are perfect for those who prefer to tie the knot in the presence of near and dear ones. The questions that come to our mind when we think about destination weddings:
Are destination weddings only meant for the rich? Is it all about spending money and making it grand?

Well, today we are here to break that myth. Yes, that’s right; your dream destination wedding is possible without burning a hole in your pocket. Letzgetwed being passionate Indian wedding planners feel that budget destination wedding can put together if acted smartly. Of course, you have to keep certain things in mind while planning one.

Prioritize the budget better:

I know it’s your wedding and it happens only ones in your life. But choose wisely. Decide where all would you want to spend how much. Say for instance if you are not very fond of having the best wedding clicks but are hell-bent on walking down the aisle in a Sabyasachi, you can just cut down on the expenses accordingly.

Be wise Location-wise:

Search high and low for that perfect wedding destination. Someplace that’s both aesthetic as well as by feasible from the budget point of view. The idea is not finding just cheap destination wedding packages, but also inexpensive travel.

Limit the guest list:

While planning, be sure of whom you invite.  An extra invite means an extra added-expense and also, an added division of your attention.  Since each guest is required to be attended, it adds more stress at the wedding. And that right there is the best part about having a destination wedding.  You can keep it intimate with only your close family, relatives and friends.

Plan ahead:

For a budget wedding, the most crucial element is timely planning! Make a list of things that need to be performed. Make travel and hotel bookings as early as possible. You can use your group as leverage and avail as many discounts as possible since you bring the hotel such massive business without much effort they tend to let you have generous discounts and a heck load of freebies too.
So, Get, Set and Plan!

Get creative:

Use your magical destination to your advantage. You can keep the decor as natural as possible. Cut down on a considerable expense of buying flowers and decorator rentals. Or you could also go DIY!! Get all your creative friends and family onboard, get them to help you do the decor and also set the stage on fire by anchoring, dancing, performing and so on.
